This month, the focus is on morality and building conceptual understanding across the English curriculum — a theme that came out of several CPD requests.

There is a 40-minute video session exploring 10 moral questions through literature, designed to support subject knowledge and classroom discussion. Alongside that, the blog post unpicks how I explicitly build conceptual thinking, from KS3 into Year 11 — with practical strategies, example tasks, and reflections on curriculum design.
