Teacher Videos
The sessions below were recorded in the first lockdown and can be viewed free on YouTube.
This first session summarises the journey to re-writing a KS3 curriculum in English. It covers a 3 year journey of moving to a conceptual approach and sequencing the learning, moving towards a knowledge rich-curriculum, and completely changing the homework system,
The following session looks more specifically at a KS3 assessment system. It includes assessing knowledge through knowledge organisers, formative and summative assessments, and different types of feedback.
Finally, a short video I made in the early days of remote learning with Microsoft Teams tips.
Bite-sized CPD
I have started a new series of mini 10 minute videos analysing key moments in commonly-taught texts. They will be shared below.
Student Videos
I have made multiple videos for students, which are now freely available via YouTube. Below there are a series of videos on planning the writing elements of the English Language GCSE, followed by videos analysing the poems from the AQA Power and Conflict cluster.
