NEXT LEVEL SERIES INFO

This series is focused on the AQA mark scheme, and how to move students through each level. There are three sessions, which are £5 each, or cost £15 for the set of three. You can also purchase this session paired with the core text pack, at a discounted rate – more information here. The sessions include a deconstruction of each level, examples of work from a range of texts, then work at the next level, with comparisons made. They each include teaching strategies for moving to the level above. We begin with a session on level 2 moving into level 3, so moving grade 3 into grade 4. Then we look at moving from level 3 to 4, with a focus on improving clarity, and therefore getting grade 4 into grade 5/6. The final session looks at moving students to a 7+ – this is the moving to level 5 session. To purchase, return to the shop page. The session begins by examining and understanding level 2. We then look at examples from a range of texts – Macbeth, AIC, ACC, and the power and conflict cluster. We then deconstruct the expectations and features of level 3, and compare examples of each of the text responses at level 2 to the level 3 examples. We then look at the findings from these comparisons and specific teaching strategies to move students up the level. This session includes a massive folder of 40 resources.
