This course reader is designed for studying Romeo and Juliet at Key Stage 3 – it is designed for Y7 but could be adapted for older years. The focus is on AO1 skills essentially: mainly idea development and writing ideas, but supporting the skills of inference and quotation selection. There are lots of activities within the text and opportunities to pause, discuss, and make notes. Each scene ends with activities that embed the key skills.
